The Tribulation

Two interesting verses in 2nd Thess. "We pray always for u, that our God would count u worthy of of this calling." As James says, faith without deeds is dead. We are counted worthy of our calling by the good that we do. How well do we love God and love others? Also, "that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first," 2 Thess. 2:3. Paul is talking about the last days. Many will fall away in the last days, which I believe are right around the corner. And why will they fall away? Because I believe we will still be here through most of the tribulation. Why else would John say in Rev. "This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints" ? Rev. 13:10. I think we will be here still, and when we are not raptured, many will fall away or walk away from the faith, because we will have to suffer. I believe the anti Christ will institute a second holocaust basically but this time for Christians. :( "If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go," Rev. 13:10. It will get bad, really bad. At this time I am sure many will deny their faith so that they will not be imprisoned or killed, but what did Jesus say, "if you deny me before men I also will deny you before my father in heaven." "Many will say to me on that day Lord didn't we....turn away from me, I never knew you." Jesus will deny ever knowing them, because they had walked away from their faith and denied Him. When the fire came they couldn't handle it and so jumped out, but in so doing they will jump out of their eternal salvation for the sake of their momentary comfort. May that not happen with anyone I know and may God keep us strong when the fire comes. Amen! :)
