1st Timothy

Verses in 1st Timothy about falling: 1:19 "Holding faith and a good conscience, which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered into Satan." :( oh dear. That is scary. So these two men were saved and now are not it would seem. 4:1 "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." :( hm...4:16 "Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself and them that hear." But I thought Timothy was already saved? Interesting :) Lastly, 6:10 "The love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith." Aka. fallen from the faith. Like the parable of the sees that fell on thorny soil, or hearts that loved the world more, and the cares of this life, money, choked it out, caused the person to loose their faith. But they looked saved because the seed sprouted up for a time; weeks, months, years...but then they lost their faith and willingly walked back into the kingdom of darkness because they loved money more than God. As Jesus said "you cannot serve both God and money."
