How We Got the Bible
Check out this article for a fascinating account of how we got the Bible or Bibles that we have today :) http://www.greatsite.com/timeline-english-bible-history/ Some interesting facts from the article: 50 scholars together wrote the KJV so the most effort was put into that translation. Before the KJV there was the Geneva Bible which had marginal notes proclaiming the pope to be the anti Christ lol :). The original KJV was 16 inches tall! And was chained to every pulpit in England in 1611. (my how far England has fallen :(. It was on Halloween of 1517 that Luther nailed up the 95 theses against the Catholic church proclaiming they taught heresies, and they def did! Pope Leo X is quoted as saying "the fable of Christ was quite profitable to me." Meaning, NONE of the popes ever actually believed in Jesus, they just used the religion of Christianity to make money off of the people by selling indulgences for sins etc. those jerks :( And the Catholic church is still heretical in many ways. Very good article. I highly recommend that you read it. :)
