On Treasures

1 Cor. 3

"Each one should build with care. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames."

So obviously we will be rewarded based on what we do in this life.  All who believe in Christ will be saved since the foundation of Christ's blood has been laid.  But what do we do after we make Jesus the Lord of our lives?  It's not just about not doing certain things, it's also about what we do.  We are not saved by our works, but if we are saved, we will most likely be working.  We will be doing something for God.

So what are you doing?  Or what can you do?  Ask God. :)  He'll show you.  We are all alive for a reason, a purpose.  Ask God what his purpose for you is. :)
